Local theories of aerodynamics

Experiment 1

performance • concrete brick, polystyrene foam, balloon filled with helium • duration: 1 hour • spring 2015

Imitating the structure of the concrete slab from Stabilisation of fluid sites I created an object, which posseses proportionally similar buoyant force and weight. Afterwards, I conducted a series of experiments to investigate the volume of polystyrene foam needed to make the model float.
